Energy Conscious

Every day I interact with patients from various backgrounds and lifestyles. The one thing I cherish above all else is the energy exchange that happens in a visit. When I start my mornings it's important for me to have the right energy for the day to provide the best care I can and feel focused, determined, and engaged.

The main thing I think about before each day is my intention, whether that be the typical “today is going to be a great day” affirmation, or “I hope to positively impact those around me” affirmation, or you take your pick of them, they are varied and eclectic. The common denominator is that they provide a moment for me to calibrate my energy to that intention, so I can rise to the task.

When patients come in to their visit, after going through whatever life events are happening for them, I can just focus on making the short amount of time they spend with me a healing, safe, and comfortable space. A place for them to breathe and take a moment before letting go what they no longer need to carry.

Then wash, rinse, repeat for the next day.
